Smiley Children Society Completes Another Milestone in Its Mission to Empower Children Through Education
Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Education remains one of the most effective tools for creating lasting social change, and Smiley Children Society continues to demonstrate this through its sustained efforts to support children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Since its founding on January 19, 2019, the organization has remained committed to ensuring that every child has access to education, academic guidance, and opportunities for holistic development.
Established by Prudhvi Moses, Smiley Children Society operates from its Head Office in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Through the dedication of its volunteers and collaboration with educational institutions, the organization has become a trusted name in community-driven educational initiatives.
One of the society’s flagship programs focuses on helping children from underprivileged families secure admission to government schools. Volunteers actively identify children who are out of school, meet with parents to explain the importance of education, assist with documentation, and coordinate with school authorities to complete the enrollment process efficiently.
The initiative has been appreciated by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who recognized the efforts of Smiley Children Society’s volunteers and commended Founder Prudhvi Moses for his leadership in promoting educational access for children in rural communities.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to learn in a supportive environment. Through the combined efforts of our volunteers, schools, and local communities, we are working to ensure that education reaches every child who needs it,” said Prudhvi Moses.
In addition to school enrollment campaigns, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes in Angara, where students receive personalized academic guidance, homework support, and examination preparation. The program aims to strengthen students’ learning outcomes while building confidence and encouraging them to continue their education.
Understanding that proper nutrition is essential for effective learning, the organization also provides free dinner to children attending the tuition sessions. This initiative supports children’s physical well-being while reducing financial pressure on their families, enabling students to focus more effectively on their studies.
Beyond these programs, Smiley Children Society actively advocates for improving early childhood education. During educational events, including those held at ZPHS Angara, Prudhvi Moses has encouraged Anganwadi centres and schools to adopt creative, activity-based teaching methods that include storytelling, interactive classroom activities, educational games, and visual learning tools. According to him, these approaches can make education more enjoyable while encouraging children to participate actively in the learning process.
To further strengthen educational infrastructure, the organization regularly donates educational materials, classroom equipment, and teaching aids to schools that promote innovative and child-friendly teaching practices.
Looking ahead, Smiley Children Society aims to expand its educational outreach to more communities, strengthen its volunteer network, and build partnerships with schools and social organizations across Andhra Pradesh. By continuing to invest in education, nutrition, and child welfare, the organization remains committed to empowering young minds and contributing to a future where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
